Grounded
This type of haunting may be caused by a spirit who is linked to an individual or a specific place. Many of these seem to occur when a site is under constuction or being remodeled. The grounded spirit may have been a victim of a violent crime. Many reasons could be to blame for this type of haunting but if you figure out what they are you may be able to deal with it and stop the haunting. Atleast that is the theory
Residual
This type of haunting exist as a remnant of a previous event that took place. It may or may not be a regular occurring haunting.
Crisis apparitions
Hauntings of this type last only a few seconds and happen at moments of crisis. Most of these occur in sudden death situations.
Poltergiest
Poltergeists is German for "noisy spirit". Many things come along with this type of spirit. Cases have been reported of objects moving or flying across the room. Often focuing on young women going through pubery and usually one or two people at a time. It can happen at any time and may start slowy and build up to a peak and then disappear. Noone really knows what the phenomena is the direct cause of although some speculate it is spirit and others say nonspirit or created subconsciously.
